Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, the beloved Minotauro, is not just a veteran of the sport: he’s a pioneer, a visionary, and a true living legend.
A professional since 1999, this 4th degree Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt has amassed a memorable record of 45 professional mixed martial arts bouts, 34 of which were wins. As a submission hero, 21 of those wins came by tap, nap or snap. But with such a long career in the taxing sport that is MMA, also come a lot of bruises and wrongs done to one’s body.
Minotauro’s suffered a lot of pain, resulting from injuries to his back, his elbow, his hips, his knee—you name it, and he’s most likely damaged it one way or another at some point in his long career. Minotauro’s undergone a series of surgeries and the ensuing physical therapies throughout his time as a pro-MMA fighter, but his latest effort to upkeep his well-being is quite intriguing.
