Neither the published scientific studies, nor the FDA registered trials using fresh adipose-derived stem cells in people have reported a single serious adverse event. The best available evidence (published studies and FDA-registered trials) has found adipose-derived stem cell therapy in people to be safe.
The procedure begins with a local anesthetic followed by liposuction from the “love handle” area to remove adipose fat from which the stem cells are extracted.
